The effort to make in order to develop GMF modeler is still important as emphasized in many blogs on Internet like the Markus Voelter’s one (see http://voelterblog.blogspot.com/2009/06/gmf-is-still-awful.html). GMF appears to be a low-level tool and there is a need for a higher-level tool leading the definition and the building of modelers. This is the reason why we launched the Easy Modelers project. This project is hosted on Google Code and can be reached at the address http://code.google.com/p/easymodelers/.
This project have three goals:
- Allowing easy creations of modelers based on GMF
- Making easier the error detection during modeler development
- Improving the development process when creating GMF modelers
The project is at its early stages and a proof of concept is available within the svn repository of this project at the address http://code.google.com/p/easymodelers/source/browse/#svn/trunk/sandbox.
